Privacy policy

Effective date: 30 September 2026.

This policy describes the intended data handling of VB6 Calendar Helper, a personal Windows desktop utility operated by Ralph Phillips. The utility is currently under development; its implementation must follow this policy before use.

Data accessed and purpose

With the user’s authorisation, the helper accesses Google Calendar identifiers and names to select a destination, and event identifiers, revision numbers, status, dates, titles and descriptions to add, update or cancel the corresponding calendar entries. It also reads the local calendar file provided by the user’s program. Access is used solely to perform these calendar operations and report their results.

Storage and transmission

Calendar data is processed on the user’s computer and transmitted directly to Google over HTTPS. Authorisation tokens and settings are retained locally to allow subsequent operations. Local diagnostic records may contain event identifiers and operation results. The helper does not upload calendar files, credentials or tokens to this website or to a separate application server.

Sharing and use restrictions

Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, disclosed to unrelated third parties, or used to train artificial intelligence models. VB6 Calendar Helper’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Retention, deletion and control

Local calendar files remain under the user’s control. Local tokens, settings and diagnostic records are retained until the user deletes them. Access can be revoked at any time through Google Account connections. Revoking access or removing the helper does not delete events already stored in Google Calendar; those remain until changed or deleted by the user or by an explicitly requested calendar operation.

This website

The informational pages contain no analytics scripts, advertising, forms or embedded third-party content. Cloudflare hosts and delivers the pages and may process IP addresses and request metadata for delivery and security under its privacy policy. Visiting these pages does not give the website access to your Google calendars.
